Congratulations, you have finally found the love of your life with whom you are ready to take your relationship to the next level! I understand that you must be super excited – it’s the most beautiful feeling in the world! So do you plan on Propose on Valentine’s Day?
If you are still contemplating, As a wedding photographer in Chicago, I would say Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to pop the big question. After all, what could be more romantic and special than asking your love to be your life partner on a day dedicated to LOVE?
To give you a few foolproof ideas, I’ve included the best ways to Propose on Valentine’s Day that will surely make your loved one say YES!
A photoshoot has become a fun way to propose and get engagement pictures simultaneously. You may hire an experienced wedding photographer, create some intimate settings, and secretly sneak out your partner for a date.
You can agree with the photographer on a code word and prepare them for the big moment. When you say it, they will know when you are planning to pop the question and will prepare a scenario so that your beloved isn’t suspicious. Then, propose and witness the candid joy! The photos will be incredibly emotional and heartwarming.
Photographers usually are equipped with professional lenses and can grab shots from a far distance. After proposing you can take your engagement photos.
Make sure to wear something pretty for the shoot. I know that it is supposed to be a surprise, but you can ask your partner to dress up to go on a date night out or hang out with friends, so then she will be wearing a suitable dress for the proposal/ engagement photoshoot.
Still, after the proposal, you can celebrate your engagement at your favorite restaurant or with your beloved friends.
Make sure to read these two blog posts I wrote about engagement sessions and what to wear on an engagement session.

If your partner loves to watch movies, why not plan a cozy date night? It is the perfect way to Propose on Valentine’s Day. Put on their favorite romantic movie and plan a night on the couch.
This makes her special movie even more special and creates everlasting happy moments for you two. Sounds really romantic!
If your partner is expecting a proposal on the way, they would probably not expect it early in the morning. Deliver a delicious breakfast in bed with a ring box on the tray, and then get down on one knee to express your eternal devotion.
Flowers are one of the time-tested romantic ways to propose. You may choose your partner’s favorite flowers and use them to create a trail that will lead her to the spot where you have perfectly created the date settings. Write by using floral petals, “Will you marry me”? As she reads them, get down and say it with a ring in your hand.
Is your partner an animal lover? If she want to keep a dog or a cat, you can give one as a valentine’s gift and hang the proposal ring around the pet’s neck. I assure your partner will be overwhelmed with joy. There is no way of saying no to such a proposal!
