Chicago, more popularly known as the “Windy City”; is the epicenter of diverse arts and cultures. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back, casual outing or want to indulge in something a bit fancier – Chicago can offer it all! Appropriately named for the breezes that go through the city from Lake Michigan, you can encounter great weather year-round – except for winters which could be freezing and, at times, unpleasant.
Because of the range the city offers, Chicago has become home to some of the most majestic weddings you can think of! Normally, the first thing when it comes to wedding planning is picking out the date, and if you’re deciding on a Chicago wedding each season has its own ups and downs. In this blog, I will give you some tips on what to put into consideration when deciding on a date.
When it comes to planning a wedding in Chicago, the most ideal season is either early summer or fall. Typically, around June, the city exudes vibrant colors and relishes in incredible vistas, which could make your special day look magical. June tends to be the busiest month of the entire year, so make sure you plan accordingly. Another popular Chicago wedding month is October – the warm temperature and golden foliage will provide a wonderful, ever-lasting experience.
As I’ve mentioned, the versatility of the city delivers unforgettable happenings – and your Chicago wedding is no exception! June makes up for exceptional views and pleasant weather, along with October; which perfectly complements your dream event. I would steer away from the busy summer months or a winter celebration in the city, as it can be a hassle to plan. Whatever option you go for though, you’re bound to have an incredible, storytelling experience!
